Learn How to Spot a Queenside Attack: Mate in 2
This puzzle comes from the Pirc Defense and shows how a queenside attack can turn a normal-looking opening into a direct mating net. White’s king is tucked on the queenside, but Black’s queen is active and the white king’s shelter has gaps around the a- and b-files. In classical chess, these positions reward forcing moves over slow improvement. When the enemy king is exposed and your pieces coordinate well, a tactical strike can decide the game immediately.
