Learn How to Spot Mate in 2: Kingside Attack
This puzzle is a classic middlegame kingside attack where the defender’s king is exposed and the pawn shield has been weakened. Even though White is materially better, the real story is tactical: the black queen and rook coordinate to overload the king’s defenses and create a mating net. In classical chess, these patterns often appear when one side’s pieces are active near the king while the opponent’s pieces are poorly placed or unable to help.
