Learn How to Spot Mate in 2: Opera Mate
This puzzle is a classic opera mate style finish: the attacking side uses a rook to force the enemy king into a cramped corridor, then converts with a second rook. Even though the material balance may look comfortable for the defender, king safety is the real story. In classical chess and practical middlegame play, these patterns appear when the king has limited flight squares and a heavy piece can be driven onto the back rank or a file near the king.
