Learn How to Attack f2/f7: Mate in 2
This puzzle comes from the Italian Game and shows a classic attacking f2/f7 pattern in the opening. White’s pieces are coordinated around the enemy king, and the queen’s entry creates immediate threats against the king’s shelter. Even though the position looks materially unbalanced, the real story is king safety: Black’s king is stuck in the center and cannot comfortably escape the mating net. These are the kinds of motifs that often appear in classical chess and sharp middlegame tactics.
