Learn How to Double Bishop Mate: Mate in 2
This chess puzzle is a classic middlegame mating pattern built around bishop coordination and king safety. The attacking side uses one bishop to give check while the other bishop controls key escape squares and supports the finish. The position is especially instructive because the defender’s pieces are overloaded and the king has very limited flight squares. In classical chess, these short tactical shots often appear when active bishops and a weakened pawn shield combine into a forced mating net.
