Learn How to Spot a Kingside Attack: Mate in 1
This puzzle comes from the Danish Gambit and shows a classic middlegame kingside attack where the enemy king is vulnerable and the mating net is already in place. The key idea is to recognize when the king’s pawn shield has been weakened and the queen can deliver a direct finish on the h-file. In these positions, material count matters less than king safety: active pieces, open lines, and a poorly defended king zone can decide the game immediately.
