Learn How to Spot: Boden Mate
This puzzle shows a classic boden mate pattern: two bishops work together to seal the enemy king with crossing diagonals. In middlegame positions, this motif often appears when the king is boxed in by its own pieces and pawns, leaving one square or line fatally exposed. The key idea is not material gain but geometry: a bishop can deliver mate by controlling escape squares while the second bishop or other pieces remove the last defense.
