Learn How to Spot: Boden Mate
This puzzle is a classic boden mate example from the Queen's Gambit Declined Exchange Variation. The key idea is that two bishops can coordinate to deliver a mating net when the enemy king’s escape squares are blocked by its own pieces. In practical classical chess, this often appears in the middlegame or opening when development is lagging and the king remains in the center. The tactic works because the final check is supported by long-range pressure and the defender has no useful interposition.
