Learn How to Spot Mate in 2: Queen Sacrifice
This Bishop's Opening puzzle is a classic middlegame mating net where White’s queen and active pieces coordinate against a weakened king shelter. The key idea is to use forcing checks to drag the king onto a vulnerable square, then finish with a direct mate pattern. Even though Black is materially ahead, king safety dominates the position, and the exposed king cannot survive the tactical sequence. It’s a great example of how classical chess tactics can outweigh material.
