Learn How to Spot Mate in 1: Queen Sacrifice
This puzzle comes from the Bishop's Opening and shows a classic middlegame mating pattern: the king is boxed in, the defensive pieces are overloaded, and one forcing move ends the game immediately. Even though Black has extra material, king safety matters more than countable material when the enemy king is exposed. In classical chess, these tactics often appear after development leads and active major pieces create a mating net around the king.
