Learn How to Spot F2-F7 Mate: Opening Tactics
This puzzle comes from the Bishop's Opening and shows a classic opening tactic against the f7 square. In the opening, the king is often still in the center, so a queen and bishop can combine to create a direct mating net. The key idea is that f7 is usually the most vulnerable point in Black’s camp because it is only defended by the king at this stage. When the attacking pieces line up correctly, the position can end immediately.
