Learn How to Spot Mate in 2: Kingside Attack
This puzzle is a classic middlegame mating net where the attacking side uses rook activity, king safety, and a pinned defender to force a rapid finish. Even though material is heavily in Black’s favor, the exposed king and weakened pawn shield make the position tactically dangerous. In classical chess, these positions reward calculation over material counting: once the king’s shelter is compromised, a short forcing sequence can decide the game immediately.
