Learn How to Spot a Mate in 2: Kingside Attack
This puzzle is a classic example of a forcing kingside attack that ends in a very short mate. Even though White is materially better, the real story is king safety: the defender’s pieces are overloaded, and one key square near the king becomes impossible to cover. In classical chess, these patterns often appear when a piece sacrifice clears a file or diagonal for a rook or bishop to deliver the final blow. The position rewards tactical alertness over material counting.
