Learn How to Spot Mate in 3: Chess Endgame Tactic
This puzzle is a classic forcing sequence where the attacker uses a sacrifice to drag the enemy king into a vulnerable square and then finishes with a mating net. Even though the position looks like a normal middlegame or chess endgame, the key is king safety: the defending king has limited escape squares, and the active rook and queen coordinate to exploit that weakness. In classical chess, these patterns often appear when one side’s pieces are overloaded and the king is exposed.
