Learn How to Win with Interference: Endgame Tactics
This puzzle is a classic example of interference in a forcing attack: White uses the queen to cut off key defensive squares and overload the black king’s shelter. Even though Black has heavy material, the exposed king and loose back-rank coordination make the position tactically fragile. In chess endgame and middlegame transitions, active pieces often matter more than raw material, especially when the king is stuck in the center and defenders are overworked.
