Learn How to Spot Mate in 2: Sacrifice & King Trap
This puzzle is a classic mating net built around forcing moves and king safety. White’s attack works because the enemy king has very few safe squares and the defenders are overloaded. In positions like this, the strongest move is often a sacrifice that removes a key shield or deflects a defender. Once the king is dragged into the open, the follow-up is usually a direct checkmate with the queen or rook, supported by piece coordination and the geometry of the board.
