Learn How to Mate in 2: Corner Mate
This chess puzzle is a classic middlegame mating net where the enemy king is driven toward the corner and then boxed in by coordinated queen and knight activity. Even though Black is materially ahead, White’s active pieces create a forcing attack that ignores material and focuses on king safety. The key idea is that checks can be stronger than winning pieces when the king has very few escape squares and the final mating square is covered by multiple attackers.
