Learn How to Spot a Mate in 2: Kingside Attack
This puzzle is a classic kingside attack where the defender’s king is boxed in by its own pieces and pawns. White’s active pieces coordinate to exploit weak dark squares and the exposed king zone, creating a mating net in a very short sequence. Even though White is materially ahead, the real story is king safety: once the attack lands, the defense collapses immediately. In classical chess, these are the positions where tactical alertness matters more than material count.
