Learn How to Hook Mate: Mating Net
This puzzle shows a classic hook mate pattern: the attacking rook uses a checking line to force the enemy king into a fixed square, then the second rook delivers the final blow. Even though White is materially ahead, the position is decided by king safety and piece coordination, not by extra material. In middlegame positions like this, a single forcing check can override everything else and create a mating net before the defender can escape.
