Learn How to Spot Mate in 2: Fork Mate
This puzzle is a classic middlegame mating attack where king safety matters more than material. White’s king is exposed enough to make forcing checks decisive, and the attacking side uses a tactical fork to drag the king into a mating net. In classical chess, these positions reward forcing play: checks, captures, and threats that leave the defender with no useful reply. The key idea is to recognize when the enemy king has limited flight squares and the queen can coordinate with nearby pieces.
