Learn How to Spot Mate in 1: Chess Endgame Tactic
This chess endgame puzzle is a pure forcing finish: the attacking side has a direct checkmate available because the enemy king is boxed in by its own pieces and the board is stripped down. In classical chess, these moments often come from active rooks, exposed kings, and loose defenders. The key is to look for checks that also remove a defender or exploit a pinned piece, especially when the king has very few escape squares.
